Meter Reading
We read meters in our system on a bi-monthly basis. Most of our system is read by hand so when you see a Meter Reader with an orange or green shirt in your yard they are inspecting the meter and reading the water usage.
AMR stands for Automated Meter Reading. Right now only the Rooney Valley area uses AMR. We use a system manufactured by Badger® called the Orion® AMR system that uses a small radio transmitter attached to the water meter that is read as the meter reader passes by whether on foot or in a company vehicle.
