Fairmount Reservoir Solar Project

The Fairmount Solar Project utilizes a solar tracking system that allows the panels to follow the sun throughout the day, increasing overall energy capture.

As a result, the system currently reduces carbon emissions by approximately 81 pounds per day—equivalent to planting two trees every day.

This project supports reduced energy consumption and a smaller carbon footprint, while producing an average of 80–90 kWh of electricity per day.

While this system lowers electrical costs, its primary benefit for Consolidated Mutual Water Company is reducing water loss from evaporation—a core pillar of our water loss prevention and efficiency strategy.
