Welton Expansion

The 2025 Welton Reservoir expansion project increased the decreed water capacity to 11,009 acre-feet, representing an overall storage increase of approximately 10%. To put this in perspective, 1 acre-foot of water is equal to 325,851 gallons.

Consolidated Mutual Water Company secured a Colorado Water Plan Grant of nearly $1 million from the Colorado Water Conservation Board to help fund this project.
